First and formost - special shout out to one of the dopest groups out there, Krewella. They just released their first EP “Play Hard” and it is straight FIRE, and not to mention the top release on Beatport this week…nbd. If you haven’t already listened/purchased the EP I highly suggest doing so, it’ll be the best $10.99 you’ve ever spent.
Electric Daisy Carnival definitely needs its own post. Hands down the best weekend of my life. We came, we saw, we danced, we raged, we loved, we listened…you get the gist. The three epic nights went by too fast, but I just want to do a brief recap of my weekend.
Night 1: I spent the majority of my night at Kenetic field with at least 50,000 others watching Knife Party, Afrojack, Sebastian Ingrosso, Kaskade, & Fedde Le Grand. My personal faves from this night were Afrojack and Fedde.
Night 2: Due to high winds night 2 was cancelled at about 1 am for safety reasons, but before they shut it down we had a chance to see Bassnectar & Calvin Harris and they were both UH-MAZING! Although they shut down all of the bigger stages & rides, we decided to stick it out to see if they would re-open any of the smaller stages and thank god we stayed, it ended up being one of my favorite EDC experiences ever. Overall I think about 4,000 other people had the same idea and decided to stick around. They had 2 little “stages” set up and everyone kept the party going til 5:30 am. We also had the pleasure of closing out the night with Steve Aoki!
Night 3: I was running on about 30 minutes of sleep..literally…by this point, but I wasn’t going to let it phase me. Got there right when it opened and got to see Morgan Page, Arty, The M Machine, Paris FZ & Simo T, Chuckie, Pretty Lights & a little bit of Armin Van Buuren. I’d have to say Pretty Lights was my hero that night, SUCH a killer set!
Seriously the best weekend of my life, and I can’t wait until next year!
Well I’ve decided to start blogging again! I’ve been to so many shows and found so much good music since my last post I don’t even know where to begin. There’s Coachella, EDC, WMC, Beyond Wonderland, etc….SO MANY AWESOME SHOWS/CONCERTS/RAVES/FESTIVALS! My goal is to keep up with this blog better, so hopefully after this massive post of shows and music it’ll have a nice flow again :)
Now for songs…there’s been HUNDREDS of awesome releases since my last post so I’m going to limit myself to 20 that have stood out since my last post.
